Applying for a Norwegian passport at the Consulate General in San Francisco
How to set up an appointment
You must set up an appointment to get a biometric passport. You can do this by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the consulate at (415) 882-2000. The application documents must be filled out in advance before arriving at your scheduled appointment. Appointments are available between 10:00 and 12:00 hrs, Monday - Wednesday and Friday. You can schedule an appointment up to three months in advance.

How to apply for retention of Norwegian citizenship
If you became a Norwegian citizen at birth and you do not live in Norway for at least two years, or in Nordic countries for at least seven years, before you turn 22, you must apply to keep your Norwegian citizenship.
