You’re Invited! The Royal Norwegian Embassy and the Office of the Norwegian Defense Attaché, in cooperation with the U.S. Army Military District of Washington, are pleased to announce a Twilight Tattoo performance by His Majesty the King’s Guard.

Twilight Tattoo is a 90-minute live-action military pageant, featuring soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and the U.S. Army Band (Pershing’s Own). Experience a glimpse into American history through performances by The U.S. Army Blues, vocalists from The U.S. Army Band Downrange and U.S. Army Marching Band, The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and The U.S. Army Drill Team. 

They will be joined by special guests His Majesty the King’s GuarD (HMKG), a battalion of the Norwegian army. Tasked primarily with defending Oslo, the Royal Palace, and the Royal Family of Norway, the King’s Guard’s drill team is renowned for its pageantry and precision.

When: Wed., May 2. Pre-ceremony pageantry starts at 6:30 p.m. and the main performance begins at 7:00 p.m. Show ends at 8:00 p.m.

Where: Summerall Field, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, near Arlington, Va.

Attire: Business casual: sport coat, open collar for men, spring/summer appropriate for women — flat shoes recommended.
