Job opening at the the Royal Norwegian Consulate in New York - Business and Communications Advisor

The Royal Norwegian Consulate in New York is recruiting a Business and Communications Advisor. Deadline; August 1st, 2020.

The Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York promotes cultural and business exchange between the US East Coast and Norway, in addition to providing consular services for 22 states.

The position’s primary responsibility is developing the Consulate General’s Communication strategies as well as promoting and supporting Norwegian business interests in New York. The Advisor will be part of the team supporting the Norwegian Government’s cultural, economic and public diplomacy objectives in New York.

 

The position’s responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement the Consulate’s digital presence in New York, including managing digital events, web sites and social media profiles.

 

  • Developing local networks with business, academia and authorities relevant to Norwegian business opportunities and Norwegian economic interests in New York and on the East Coast.

 

  • Further the collaboration with Team Norway; Innovation Norway, The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and other Norwegian missions in the US to promote Norwegian economic interests and knowledge of Norwegian society, economy and culture.

 

  • Preparing and supporting programs for visits by Norwegian high-level officials to New York.
