She has helped build a local ecosystem for the startup community that encourages international partnerships and innovation, says Anita Krohn Traaseth.
Rognlie has been involved with the competence program Entrepreneurial Marketing, the accelerator ERA for the Norway New York Accelerator program and other local events.
According to the jury, Rognlie’s work has also directly influenced Norwegian business deals made in New York, and her contribution and efforts have helped showcase Norwegian products and solutions in one of the world’s largest markets. Her close cooperation with Innovation Norway's office and her support of new ideas and initiatives has helped strengthen and inspire the entire Team Norway.
-The award is a recognition of the efforts put in by the whole team at the Consulate General, says Rognlie.
Rognlie ended her tenure as consul general in July 2017, and is replaced by Ms Harriet E. Berg.
