The Business and Communications Advisor's primary responsibility is the promotion and support of Norwegian innovation and business interests in New York. The Advisor will also develop and execute the Consulate General’s communication strategies.
The Advisor is a member of the larger team supporting the Norwegian government’s cultural, economic, and public diplomacy objectives in New York.
The Advisor will cover the tech, finance, life-sciences, and renewable energy sectors. As such, great networking skills are a requirement and a varied and social work day should be expected.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in New York's startup, finance or business communities. Those with previous work in communications, media, or advertising are also of interest.

Candidates will be expected to understand and work between both local and Norwegian cultures. The consulate values independence, strong communications skills, and an ability to execute independently and as a member of a team.
