Visa update

Dear all visa applicants,You can know apply for a Schengen visa to Norway six months ahead of date of travel, but it is required to apply at least 15 days before your planned travel date. In this regard, we stress that you should not buy your tickets and pay hotel bookings before you know that a visa has been granted.

The Norwegian Visa Hub in Abu Dhabi is currently processing applications as follows:

Iran: Applications submitted May/June.

Pakistan: Applications submitted May/June

Saudi Arabia: Applications submitted May/June

UAE: Applications submitted May/June

If all the required documents have been submitted, our target is to provide an answer prior to the travel date.

The processing time for applications is normally up to 15 calendar days after the embassy or consulate has received the application. In some cases where the Embassy needs more information/examination of the case or when the application is sent to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI), the processing time in these cases may be up to 45 calendar days.

Kindly note that you need to have a prebooked appointment with VFS in order to submit your visa or residence permit applications. Information on how to book appointments can be found at the homepage of VFS Global.

PLEASE NOTE we do not respond to visa inquiries on social media. All telephone inquiries regarding visas should be routed to VFS. Also, note that all visa inquiries are answered by the embassy in Abu Dhabi, not the consulate in Dubai.
