The candidate should have extensive knowledge of refugee issues, humanitarian assistance and the refugee response in Uganda and/or the region, with demonstrated track-record in successfully managing collaborative projects that engage multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of results-based management and high level of expertise in programme management/grant management is necessary. Experience related to the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework (CRRF) in Uganda will be highly appreciated. Work-experience from multilateral organizations and institutions such as the UN or the World Bank is also of interest.
The candidate must be comfortable with working in a multi-cultural environment and being a team player.
Qualifications and competences required:
- Higher education (postgraduate level)
- Experience from work with refugee response issues
- Experience with result-based project management
- Good writing, analytical, communication and networking skills
- Very good knowledge of English, written and oral
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
