VACANCY. Adviser – Programme Officer at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kampala

The Embassy is looking for a new member of its Development Cooperation Team. The main responsibilities will be development cooperation projects and programmes related to Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Food Security and Education. 

The candidate should have a demonstrated track record in successfully managing collaborative projects that engage multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of results-based management and high level of expertise in grant management is necessary. Work experience from multilateral organisations and institutions such as UN agencies is also relevant.  

The candidate must be comfortable with working in a multi-cultural environment and being a team player. 

 
Qualifications and competences: 

  • Higher education 
  • Good writing, analytical, communication and networking skills 
  • Very good knowledge of English, written and oral 
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. 

What we can offer: The Embassy is offering a fixed position with 6 months probation period. The employment is subject to the regulations for local staff at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kampala and Ugandan labor laws and regulations.
