The Norwegian Church Abroad in Pattaya visits the Embassy

Sjømannskirken

The morning 13 June, we had the pleasure of having the Norwegian Church Abroad in Pattaya, also known as Sjømannskirken in Pattaya, over for a meeting at the Embassy.

During the meeting, Chargé d’Affairs a.i. Mr. Vegard Holmelid underlined how the Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok appreciates the continuous work that the people at the Norwegian Church Abroad in Pattaya are doing

In addition to doing religious services, they serve as a social and cultural meeting place for Norwegians and Norwegian related people in Thailand. In Pattaya, they are also actively reaching out to Norwegians by visiting them at hospitals, in their homes, and even in bars. On a regular basis, they are doing prison visits to imprisoned Norwegians in Thailand.
