Presenting Norwegian business perspectives at Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce (JFCCT) President’s Council Meeting

On Wednesday 16 May Chargé d’Affairs a.i. Mr. Vegard Holmelid delivered a speech at the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce (JFCCT) President’s Council Meeting. The event was hosted by the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce.

In his speech, Mr. Vegard Holmelid talked about Norwegian business perspectives along different dimensions, covering how Norway manages to safeguard sustainable growth, from its Government Pension Fund – Global or from extending economic activities into multiple sectors. He highlighted the importance of Norwegian values that Norwegian companies carries with them across the world.

The Norwegian company “Starboard” also presented their environmental initiatives, especially on marine plastic pollution, at the meeting.

JFCCT is the umbrella body for various Thai-foreign chambers or business associations operating in Thailand. Their members are representing more than 9,000 companies in the country. JFCCT is an important agent for the foreign business community in Thailand, passing advice and recommendations from the foreign business community to the Thai government.
