The Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok has a job opening as visa officer.

Job Responsibilities

•Responsibility for registering and controlling data provided by the visa applicant.

•Collecting biometric data.

•Printing of visa stickers and putting visa stickers into passports.

•Daily contact with our external service provider, VFS Global, in receiving all applications and handing off all finished applications and passports.

•Giving advice and answering questions from applicants over the phone.

•Taking interviews of applicants.

•Archiving of applications.

The Visa Officer must also be prepared to assist with other tasks at the Embassy not directly connected to the Visa Section if the need arises.

 

Job Qualifications

•Thai native speaker. (Other nationalities are welcome but must be able to read and speak Thai as a native.)

•Minimum bachelor degree in any related field. (Higher education from a Scandinavian country or from an English speaking nation is preferred.)

•Required 2-3 years of experience from visa and/or consular work from other Scandinavian and Schengen embassies is an advantage.

•Fluency in both written and spoken Thai and English is essential. A TOEIC score of 750 and above is highly preferred.

•Has good multi-tasking skills and solves unexpected problems. Service minded.
