Norway-Tanzania Alumni Network Launch

Did you study for your masters/PHD or have you worked for a period of time in Norway? Then you should be a part of the Norway-Tanzania Alumni Network, TaNo Alumni.

Norway has provided support to higher education in Tanzania for more than 40 years. One of the long-term outputs of this support is a cadre of Tanzanian citizens with master and PhD degrees from Norway, who also have gotten good knowledge about the Norwegian society and language through their studies.

The Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam is now planning for the launch of the Norway-Tanzania Alumni Network in mid-December 2017. The goal of the Alumni network is to maintain and strengthen ties between the Norwegian community in Tanzania, and Tanzanian citizens who have studied or worked in Norway. Moreover, we would warmly welcome you to join!

Why should you join the TaNo Alumni?

  • You will get access to an arena for interaction and dialogue between Norway and Tanzania
  • You will be informed about activities in the Embassy which might be of a special interest for you
  • Meet other Tanzanian professionals who have also studied or worked in Norway to share experiences

If you are a Norway-Tanzania enthusiast, you are also welcome to join the TaNo Alumni working group. As a member of the working group, you get the chance to choose interesting topics and themes for the TaNo Alumni events, and be a part of shaping the future of TaNo Alumni.

To express interest in joining the TaNo Alumni network or for questions, please send an email to responsible Embassy officer:  Anette Otilie Pettersen –
