The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Juba is hereby-encouraging relevant organizations and networks in South Sudan to submit applications to Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).
The Civil Society Department in Norad has just launched a call for applications supporting two Grant Scheme Allocations; Efforts supporting the follow-up of SCR 1325 and the subsequent SCRs on Women, Peace and Security and Women’s Rights and Gender Equality Grant Scheme, specifically efforts supporting Women’s Economic Participation and Empowerment and Women’s Political Participation and Empowerment.

The application process will consist of two parts; in the first round, applicants shall be invited to submit a Concept Paper. Based on the Concept Paper, selected candidates will be invited to submit a full project proposal.
The Civil Society Department is hoping for a substantial selection of qualified applications so that shall further establish solid portfolios for Women’s Rights. The period of support is one to three years. National and regional based organizations or south based networks will be prioritized.
In addition, the Civil Society Department would like to inform you that after screening all the applications, prioritized applications will be sent to the Embassy for comments and assessments. This will be coordinated with the main call for applications over chapter post 160.70.
