Jon Fosse at the Nová drama/New Drama 2017 Festival

On May 10, 2017 from 10 a.m. the Norwegian playwright, Jon Fosse will hold a workshop during the New Drama 2017 Festival in Bratislava. He will also hold a presentation of his newest collection of plays (in Norwegian, interpretation into Slovak and English provided). The workshop and presentation will take place in the Studio 12 of the Theatre Institute (Jakubovo námestie 12, Bratislava).

 Jon Olav Fosse (born on September 29, 1959) is a Norwegian playwright and novelist. He debuted in 1983 with the novel Red, Black. With more than 900 productions staged in more than 40 languages, he is one of Europe’s most-performed dramatists. He has won numerous awards and honors. In 2016, he was nominated for a Nobel Prize for Literature. Fosse will be the patron of the New Drama 2017 Festival, which is organized by the Theatre Institute in Bratislava on May 9-13, 2017.
