Processing time

Applications for a residence permit are processed by UDI. You will find information about the processing time on UDI’s website. 

Applicants have an option to choose SMS service at the time of submission at the Joint Visa Application Centre - or track their application status on the VFS website, using passport & Reference Number.

The result can be picked up at the Joint Visa Application Centre where the application was submitted.

VFS will let you know when you can travel to Norway . If your application has been rejected, you will receive a written explanation as to why it was rejected. You can appeal the decision.
