Travel to Norway - new regulations from 3 Dec

From 25 November, Singapore's vaccine certificate is accepted in Norway and Europe under the same conditions as the EU Digital Covid Certificate (EUDCC). That means that fully vaccinated Singapore residents with a Singaporean Vaccine certificate can travel to Norway, subject to entry registration, COVID-19 test upon arrival and valid Schengen visa to Norway for those in need of this. Travel to Norway is open for all purposes from 26 Nov 2021.

| COVID-19 / Travel Information

All travellers above the age of 16 years entering Norway, must complete an entry registration at entrynorway.no. A proof of entry registration must be presented for inspection on arrival.

From 3 December, all travellers to Norway must get tested for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status. Press release: All travellers arriving in Norway must take a test after arrival.

Travellers in need of a Schengen-visa will still need a valid visa to travel to Norway. The Danish Embassy is accepting applications for visa to Norway from 1 December, please follow this link to make an appointment/hand in visa application at VFS Global Singapore: Welcome to VFS Global | vfsglobal

Unvaccinated travellers above the age of 18 years have to provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result taken during the last 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the first flight of the travel itinerary. Both PCR-based tests and ART-tests (rapid antigen-based test) are accepted. Unvaccinated travellers must stay in quarantine for 10 days after the date of their arrival in Norway, but the travel quarantine can be ended by a negative PCR-test no earlier than three days after arriving in Norway. The Embassy is in close contact with Singaporean authorities to clarify the consequences for Norwegian travellers regarding entry to Singapore and quarantine/testing requirements before and upon arrival, as well as the possibilities for a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) from Norway to Singapore.

As always, the Embassy recommends travellers to consult with their airlines to familiarise themselves with the transit rules of other countries on the travel route.

With the emergence of the Omicron virus variant, travel restrictions may change the coming weeks/months. Please note that entry restrictions can be subject to sudden changes and may be implemented without warning.
