NORWEP partnering up with Wilhelmsen

Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) and the major Norwegian Maritime and Energy Group, Wilhelmsen announced their partnership as of 1 July 2021.

As the majority owner of NorSea Group, including subsidiaries NorSea Wind and Elevon, and with its 50% ownership stake in Edda Wind, the Wilhelmsen group has a strong offering, including logistics, bases, transport, maintenance and support, for the different sectors of the energy industry.  The Wilhelmsen group is also actively working with domestic and international partners on various energy transition projects such as CCUS, Hydrogen, LNG, and wind. The Topeka HySHIP hydrogen vessel project and collaboration with Belgian offshore wind developer Parkwind are two recent examples.

In addition to its energy-focused business areas, Wilhelmsen continues its rich history of supporting merchant shipping, through its Ships Agency, Ship Management and Marine Products divisions, its major stake in ro-ro shipping company Wallenius Wilhelmsen and shareholding in South Korean logistics company Hyundai Glovis.
