Norwegian global travel advice to rescind from 1 Oct 2021

The Norwegian Government has decided to rescind the global travel advice against non-essential travel abroad for Norwegians as of 1 October. Individual assessment of countries, including issues relating to the pandemic, the health situation and the security situation in the country in question, will be re-instated. Please be advised that the Singaporean borders are still closed for regular Short-Term Visitors/tourists from category III countries (incl. Norway). Work Pass holders and Long-Term Visit Pass holders still need an entry approval issued by Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to travel to Singapore.

The Embassy strongly encourages all Norwegian citizens travelling to and staying in Singapore to download the new app Reiseklar and register their stay in Singapore in the app – to receive relevant information from the Norwegian authorities if a crisis occurs while travelling/staying abroad. The app also provides updated information on the security situation, entry rules and other relevant matters for close to 200 countries.

Norwegians travelling abroad should also check whether their travel insurance is valid and what it covers.

Reiseklar can be downloaded via App Store or Google Play.

NB! All previous registrations in Utenriksdepartementets Reiseregistrering have been deleted with the introduction of the Reiseklar app. Please make sure to re-register in the new app or at reiseregistrering.no
