Norway-APAC Business Network: Energy

Connecting Norwegian stakeholders in the energy markets in Asia Pacific.

| Innovation Norway - Business Relations: Energy

Southeast-Asia and Australia energy markets represent huge business opportunities for Norwegian companies. Within the sectors across conventional oil and gas, LNG, new energy carriers such as hydrogen, to renewable energy including solar and wind, we estimate well over 100 active Norwegian companies acting in this region.

To connect these companies with each other and with the Norwegian public trade promotion agents such as the Norwegian Embassies, Innovation Norway, business chambers etc. Team Norway Singapore took the initiative to established Norway-APAC Business Network: Energy (NABN:E) early this year, run by Innovation Norway.

NABN:E is a membership association which bi-monthly meeting where members get updates on market trends, new business opportunities, relevant tenders etc. from our “knowledge partner” Rystad Energy and from the embassies and Innovation Norway offices in the region (currently defined as Southeast Asia and Australia).  It is also an arena for member companies to present themselves for the group and for open discussion on common challenges and opportunities.

Since inauguration in April, the network has recruited 41 companies with over 110 individual members. The first meeting in April focused on new opportunities related to LNG, while the June meeting will address hydrogen and offshore wind.

The NABN:E is welcoming new members from Norwegian companies or individuals with interest in Asian energy markets. There is an annual membership fee of NOK 4,800 per company, which gives up to 3 representatives access to shared information, contact lists and the bi-monthly meetings.
