Norway’s Conservative Prime Minister Erna Solberg expanded her coalition government on the 22nd of January, to include the Christian Democratic Party along with the other coalition partners, The Conservative Party, The Progressive Party and The Liberal Party. All four political parties are led by women. “The fact that four women are now heading the coalition is an expression of the strong position of women in Norwegian society”, says Prime Minister Erna Solberg. The Christian Democratic Party has been included in the Government along with coalition partners The Progressive Party, the Liberal Party and The Conservative Party.
