The application procedure and requirements remain the same, but there are some changes you should be aware of.
As before, all applicants in the Palestinian Territories must meet and apply in person at one of VFS Global application centres in Ramallah or Gaza City.
Applicants with an East Jerusalem ID will however no longer be able to submit their applications to the Norwegian Representative Office in Al Ram after 20th June 2019. Instead, they may choose to go to VFS Global in Tel Aviv or Ramallah:
VFS Global Visa Application Centre Tel Aviv, 47th Floor, Midtown Commerce, 144 Menachem Begin, Tel Aviv, Israel
VFS Global Visa Application Centre Ramallah/Ground Floor, Madar Building, Alkawthar Street, Balou, Ramallah, Palestine.
- Introduction of a courier fee
As before, there will be an application fee payable online when you register your application in the Application Portal Norway, and a service fee charged by VFS Global. What is new, is that applications submitted in Palestine also will be subject to a courier fee to cover transportation of the application documents between the visa application centre and Amman, Jordan. These fees are payable to VFS Global on your application day.
For information about fees, including refund policies, see the website of VFS Global and .
- Extended waiting time for Schengen visa to Norway
The processing time for Schengen visas to Norway is normally up to 25 days from the date the application is received at the Embassy in Amman. Please take note that you should account for an additional 2-4 days for processing and sending the application documents between the VFS application centre and Amman. We highly recommend that you apply well in advance, at least 4 weeks prior to your planned trip.
