Quarantine requirement after stopover at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

As of Saturday 15 August, anyone arriving in Norway from the Netherlands will be required to go into quarantine for 10 days. This requirement is also applicable for those travellers who make a stopover/transit at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Travellers must provide proof of residency for a continuous stay at a registered Norwegian address for the first 10 days after arriving in Norway.

Quarantine requirements and traveling by own vehicle through the Netherlands

travellers that are exempted from quarantine may travel through areas with increased infection (this includes per 15 august, the Netherlands) without having to go into quarantine in Norway if they if they fulfil the following conditions:

  • They are travelling in their own vehicle en route to Norway.
  • They do not stay overnight in the area.
  • They fulfil distancing and other infection control requirements during the trip
