Tuesday 24 September, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Delegates Dining Room, UN.

Norway, Portugal, Palau and Kenya, in the presence of HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, cordially invite you to join The Ocean Wave.

In conjunction with the opening of the 74th Session of the United Nations Assembly, Norway together with Portugal, Palau and Kenya will host a high-level reception to celebrate the opportunities the ocean provides and to mobilize a wave of urgent global action to tackle the challenges facing it.

Key Speakers:

Prime Minister of Norway, Ms. Erna Solberg.

President of Portugal, Mr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

President of Palau, Mr. Tommy Remengesau.

Cabinet Secretary for Environment Kenya, Mr. Keiako Tobiko.

The Ocean Wave takes place at a time when the level of threat facing the ocean is unprecedented. This year and the next is crucial for international ocean action. A momentum is building and we now have a convergence of opportunities for making the right decisions and taking the right actions through a string of high-level ocean events in the coming months. The global community needs to ensure that we use these opportunities to share our knowledge and experiences, identify the solutions and commit to action for a clean, healthy and productive ocean.
