Surviving Terrorism: Victims’ Voices

The United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism and the Permanent Mission of Norway to the United Nations, in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Public Information, have the honour to invite you to a Film Screening and Roundtable Discussion on:

‘Surviving Terrorism: Victims’ Voices’

The screening will be held on Thursday, 9 November, at 4.30 p.m. in the ECOSOC Chamber at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The event aims to raise awareness on the importance of supporting victims during their recovery and will include the screening of a documentary that illustrates the resilience of two victims of the July 2011 attack in Norway, followed by a roundtable discussion on resilience and recovery.

The screening of the first in a series of documentary series profiles Kamzy Gunaratnam and Viljar Hanssen, two victims of the July 2011 mass killings by terrorist Anders Breivik, of 69 members of the Workers’ Youth League on Utoya Island and 9 people in Oslo, Norway.
