Europe need jobs. Sustainable industries can offer jobs and growth, but they must be competitive, low carbon and provide welfare for workers. To meet htese conditions, industry must be best the performer on process and energy efficiency, have access to affordable, renewable as well as low-carbon energy and use new innovative technologies. Developing research-based competences are the key to making this happen.
So how do we foster a sustainable and competitive industry in Europe? What is the role for policymakers and researchers - and what can industry do themselves?
These are the issues for debate at Norway House, 19 June 2017. Kick-starting the EU Sustainable Energy Week, the Mission of Norway to the EU and CEPS warmly welcome your participation.
