Cooperation with the EU is a top priority for the Government of Norway.

The strategy for cooperation with the EU for 2014-2017 sets out the main lines of Norway’s European policy, and the following priorities:

  • increased competitiveness and greater value creation
  • higher quality education and research
  • an ambitious climate and energy policy
  • enhanced security
  • a global approach to migration

Minister for EEA and EU Affairs, Mr. Frank Bakke-Jensen, is responsible for implementing the strategy and chairs the Government’s European policy coordination committee.
