With its 60 employees, the Norwegian Mission to the EU and the Embassy in Brussels are Norway's largest diplomatic missions. The offices are located in Norway House, centrally located in the EU quarter in Brussels.
We are looking for an accountant to join our administrative team which is supporting both the Embassy and the Norwegian Mission to the EU. We also cooperate closely with the Norwegian Delegation to NATO in administrative matters, and a joint accounting function for the three missions is located in Norway House. The successful candidate will be a part of the accounting team, working closely with and reporting to the Head of Administration. The position offers independent and varied work tasks in an exciting environment.
Main tasks:
- Registration of vouchers
- Participate in budget planning
- Follow up suppliers
- General accounting tasks
Tasks may change.
Qualifications for both positions:
- Relevant education. Relevant competence can compensate for a lack of formal education
- Experience as an accountant is a not a prerequisite, but desirable.
- Good budget understanding
- Must speak a Scandinavian language and have good knowledge of English.
- Knowledge of French and good general ICT competence will be emphasized
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
