The Norwegian Embassy in Prishtina supports the Law Data System for the Kosovo Assembly and the Language Consistency of the Laws

Today, Ambassador Grøndahl attended the project launch of the Development of Legal Information Service for the Kosovo Assembly and the Language Consistency of the Laws.

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen and promote transparency and efficiency of the Assembly in Kosovo and other State Institutions with a signficant impact on the legal sector of Kosovo. The project is divided into two components. The first component aims to develop a legal information service, "Law Data System" for the Kosovo Assembly in order to provide a free online service containing basic information such as laws and bylaws. The second component focuses on language consistency and aims to deal with translation discrepancies between the different language versions of the laws and bylaws which are applicable in Kosovo.

"A priority for the bilateral cooperation between Norway and Kosovo is working with the institutions in the Legal Sector and support to Rule of Law. In this regard, we are proud to be a partner for the Development of Legal Information Service Project for the Kosovo Assembly." Ambassador Grøndahl stated.

The Speaker of Assembly of the RKS, Mr. Kadri Veseli, took time away from his election campaign and also delivered a speech in strong support.
