State Secretary Audun Halvorsen visited Kosovo

State Secretary Audun Halvorsen visited Kosovo on April 17, 2018. During his visit he met with President Hashim Thaçi, Minister of Justice Abelard Tahiri, Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj, KFOR Commander, Major-General Salvatore Cuoci, as well as civil society representatives and parliamentarians.

In his meetings the State Secretary confirmed Norway’s engagement in the Western Balkans, including Norway’s support to Kosovo. He emphasized the importance of continuing reform to foster Euro-Atlantic integration, and strengthen the rule of law.

 Halvorsen reiterated Norway’s strong support to the EU-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Prishtina, and emphasized the importance of resuming the dialogue, and in good faith, implementing existing agreements.
