Staff retreat in Belgrade

In-between sightseeing and workshops, the embassies’ staff managed to get some group photos in the lovely weather.

The only way forward is through open dialogue, mutual respect and understanding. March 30th-31st our staff visited the Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade for a joint retreat and seminar. Among topics discussed was public diplomacy and embassy services for the public.

We thank the staff at the Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade for their hospitality during our joint retreat and for an interesting seminar.

One of the key subjects discussed during the seminar was public diplomacy in a social media age. To gain insight into the work of the Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade and Prishtina, social media channels are an important asset. In addition to enabling the public to gain insight to the diplomacy work, it also allows diplomatic institutions get direct feedback from the citizens. By such it creates an arena of interactivity.

Another important topic was the specific work within the embassies such as visa and consular services. The primary focus was how we could make our services more efficient and accessible and thereby better for the public.

We strongly believe that the only way toward progress is through open dialogue, mutual respect and understanding. We look forward to continue sharing experiences and nourishing friendly cooperation.
