New Flight Route from Nairobi to Oslo

First African airline route from Africa to Norway commences in March 2017.

Ethiopian Airlines announces that it will commence five weekly flights from Nairobi to Oslo, Norway via Stockholm with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft from 26 March 2017. The new route offers another opportunity for fast transfer from Kenya to Norway’s capital.

Group CEO Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, remarks: “With Africa’s economic boom and its growing trade, investment, business and tourism ties with Europe in general and Norway in particular, Ethiopian is pleased to provide the essential air connectivity that will serve as the engine for the continued growth of these relations. In addition to serving the growing travel needs between Oslo and Africa, we will be able to offer efficient connections between Africa and Central/Eastern Europe in cooperation with our partners.”

Flights are scheduled to depart from Nairobi 19:15 in the evening and arrive in Oslo 8:15 the next morning. Return flights will depart from Oslo at 19:45 in the evening and arrive in Nairobi 10:25 the next morning. Both itineraries include transit in Addis Ababa.
