The Norwegian Embassy in Nairobi is responsible for handling visa and residence permit applications for the following countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Eritrea, Djibouti, and South Sudan. In Ethiopia, Sudan, the Seychelles and the Democratic Republic of Congo the Norwegian Embassy in Nairobi is responsible for handling residence permits only, as we have representation agreements in visa cases with other countries in these locations.
Kindly be informed that as a general rule, due to the travel restrictions that have entered into force as a result of the Covid-19 situation, most applicants will not be granted a Schengen visa to travel to Norway. For more information, please visit UDI's information page about the Corona situation.

Representation agreements: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the representation agreements Norway has with Sweden in Addis Ababa and Khartoum, Belgium in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and France in the Seychelles have been temporarily suspended.
