Business Guide for Kenya Launched

An online guide on how to establish a company in Kenya, with necessary references and advice, is now available for investors and prospective companies.

On 16 March 2017, a new website, www.kenyabusinessguide.org, was launched by development partners and Metta, the latest entrepreneur’s club in Nairobi.  The Kenya Business Guide (KBG) is an online tool that gives guidance to investors and prospective businesses in the process of registering a business in Kenya. The tool is the latest addition to ICT measures that support Kenya’s thriving economic sector.

The KBG website aims to unpack the ‘black box’ - the process of starting and registering companies in Kenya’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. It targets both Kenyan entrepreneurs and international investors and companies. The registration process for different types of companies is broken down into easy-to follow, practical steps. KBG is a peer-reviewed product that aides stakeholders in complying with the relevant regulatory framework when setting up a business.

The tool is supported by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Kenya, Chebet Mehta Advocates, Hanns Seidel Foundation, and Rödl and Partner, in association with Kenya Association of Manufacturers  (KAM) and Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA).
