For the first time in Israel! Acclaimed Norwegian conductor Thomas Caplin is to perform an all-Scandinavian choral music program with the Israeli Vocal Ensemble to be held in February 2018: Ra'anana (19/2), Tel Aviv (22/2), and Jerusalem (23/2).

THE ISRAELI VOCAL ENSEMBLE (www.nive.co.il). A nonprofit professional choir, the Israeli Vocal Ensemble was established in 1993 by the conductor and music director Yuval Benozer, and quickly became one of the leading vocal ensembles in Israel. Since its foundation, the ensemble has placed emphasis on excellence and high artistic standards, promoting and presenting vocal music to as wide an audience as possible. The ensemble, made up of 17 professional singers, performs in the most prestigious halls and festivals in Israel, in its own series, as well as with Israel's leading orchestras, winning the acclaims of audiences, critics, and professional musicians alike.

NORWEGIAN CONDUCTOR: THOMAS CAPLIN (1960) PROFESSOR, CHORAL CONDUCTING AND MANAGEMENT. Mr Caplin received his education as a singer, conductor and choral pedagogue at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. He is frequently engaged as guest conductor and clinician, and as adjudicator in competitions in Norway and abroad. Mr Caplin is particularly renowned as a specialist within the psychological/pedagogical aspects of choral leadership, coupled with the traditional perspectives of choral conducting.
