The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tehran will be closed for the public as of 19th of May 2017 as we are moving to a new location. However, we stop receiving applicants visiting Norway on the 2nd of May (please see information below).

Submission of visa applications and residence permits to Norway
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tehran hereby announces an agreement with VFS.Global in Tehran to receive applications for Schengen visa and residence permits to Norway. The agreement will be effectuated 2nd of May 2017. The intention is to ease the application process for visits to Norway.
VFS Global will not have any influence in the decision-making.

The Visa Application Center (VAC) is open from 08:00 until 17:00 from Sundays to Thursdays.
This will have a great impact on the applicants as the number of hours for submission of documents has increased. The embassy will also have more capacity to process the applications and make decisions.

The embassy’s Consular and Migration section will not be reachable on the telephone; you can send us an e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have further inquiries in an interim period.
The embassy will be opened to the public until 19th of May 2017.
As of 25 May, the public is required to go to the Swedish Embassy in Tehran, where a Norwegian official will be allocated working hours every Thursday from 11:00 to 15:00. During this period, the Royal Norwegian Embassy will not be able to renew Norwegian passports.
Renewal of Norwegian passport for Norwegian citizens living in Iraq will be done by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Amman.
Renewal of Norwegian passports for Norwegian citizens living in Iran will be done by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
