Ambassador Kaale accredited to Timor-Leste

As of June 22 2018, HE Mr Vegard Kaale is Norway's Ambassador to Timor-Leste. Mr Kaale looks forward to continuing to strengthen the good relations between Timor-Leste and Norway.

Ambassador Kaale met with His Excellency President Francisco Guterres in Dili 22 June 2018 to hand over his credentials.

- I thank President Guterres for the warm welcome here in Dili, and I am very much looking forward to serving as Norway's Ambassador to Timor Leste, the Ambassador said after the ceremony.

Ambassador Kaale has a broad background within both political and administrative affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before being appointed as Norway's Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor-Leste, he served as Director and Head of Section for Energy and Climate in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He took up the position as Norway's Ambassador to Indonesia in September 2017. His previous postings include The Hague and Dublin.
