The Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi welcomes the new diplomats!

Every year when the season changes from summer to autumn, old colleagues leave and new ones arrive at the Norwegian embassies around the world. The Embassy in New Delhi is happy to introduce this year’s group of newly arrived staff.

Starting in August, five new diplomats have joined the Norwegian Embassy: 

Marta Gjørtz has the responsibility for issues related to the economy and trade as well as the Embassy’s work on business promotion and the Arctic.

Erlend Draget has both the Energy, Climate Change & Environment and the Communication & Cultural Affairs portfolio.

Geir Hagnes is the Defence Attaché and will coordinate and follow up the defence cooperation, including the defence industry, with Indian authorities. He will also provide advice to the Ambassador on defence related issues.

Øystein Eriksen is the Head of Administration and in charge of the daily operation of the Embassy, which includes, but is not limited to: lead local staff, organize property maintenance, budget and accounting.

Kjetil Pedersen works with issues relating to visa, immigration and consular affairs.
