The Summit, being organized by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) during 15-17 February 2018, is an important meeting arena for the international community to address global environment and development challenges and is of great value to governments, civil society, business and academia.

The theme of this year’s summit will be ‘Partnerships for a Resilient Planet’, and it will seek to mobilize global leadership to focus on deeper challenges and draw consensus for an equitable development paradigm.

There will also be the presentation of the Sustainable Development Leadership Award to an eminent global leader, felicitating for contributions in the field of sustainable development. A Media Colloquium for sensitizing the media about sustainable development issues, business sessions for industry captains to brainstorm ideas for 'conducting business while protecting the environment' and Greenovation, an Exhibition showcasing eco-friendly technologies leading to sustainable development will also be a part of the three-day summit.

TERI, a leading think tank conducting research for sustainable development of India and the Global South, is an important partner for the Norwegian Embassy in promoting Indo-Norwegian cooperation in the field of environment and sustainable development. Our association with the event dates back to 2004. For over a decade now, Norway has been taking part in the Summit with a high political level dialogue and contributions at the summit deliberations.
