Following the morning flag-hoisting and family event, we celebrated our National Day with over 600 of our key contacts and guests in the Embassy garden on 18 May.

Ms Ruchi Ghanshyam, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, graced the event as Chief Guest.

The theme of this year's reception was the Norway India Partnership Initiative - (NIPI). Established in 2006, NIPI works with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) of India to support maternal and child healthcare programs.

As every year, Norwegian Salmon was a great attraction for all our guests, flown fresh all the way from Norway!

Another attraction was many of our Norwegian colleagues beating the heat and welcoming guests in the Norwegian National attire, the Bunad, which is mainly made from wool. Well, their effort was duly acknowledged by many of our guests, including the Chief Guest!
