World Hydrogen Energy Summit:

Norway has set ambitious goals and targets for cutting emission while creating green growth. Stimulating the oil and gas industry to developing projects within zero or low carbon solutions and taking advantage of solutions and new innovations within hydropower

Collaboration across the energy value chain and cross-border cooperation will generate and scale new technologies and innovations, and eventually contribute to a more sustainable energy market with new opportunities.

Power World.IE 2021:

Commercial Counsellor and Head of Innovation Norway, Cristian Valdes Cater took part in the event organised by the Chemtech Foundation.

"We strongly believe that Hydrogen has an essential role in the energy transition and at this stage of the transition, we find it important to have a technology agnostic approach as well as efficient pricing of greenhouse gas emissions. Blue Hydrogen from natural gas reforming combined with CCS is key towards net zero. We need to look at green hydrogen, renewables, energy storage, natural gas, blue hydrogen and CCUS as different tools in the same toolbox."

Ambassador's visit to Agra

Ambassador Frydenlund and colleagues from our cooperation section took a trip to Agra to visit our projects with the Centre for Science and Environment. We managed to combine a bit of sight seeing too. Check out photos and details from the visit here and here.

European High Education Virtual Fair 2021

European Higher Education Virtual Fair (EHEVF) India 2021. The sixth edition of EHEVF India 2021 was held from 24-26 Nov 2021, and offered a virtual platform to connect Indian college students looking to go abroad for higher education with European universities, including Norway. The fair promoted Europe as a destination for higher education and research for Indian students who are planning to study abroad in 2022. Students interacted with EU universities through webinars, live chats, video calls and learnt about higher education opportunities offered by the participating universities/ institutes. Together with Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and skills, (HK dir), we represented Norway (speaker and virtual stand) and Norwegian universities. We also organized a virtual stand to aspire and provide authentic information and advices to the interested Indian students to take their higher education in Norway. 120 higher education institutes from 24 European Union (EU) member States as well as Norway as an associated country to the EU programme were present at the fair.

APAC News Network

APAC News Network organized the ‘3rd Edition of Global Education & Skill Conclave’ from December 1-3, 2021. The conclave was a knowledge exchange platform for policymakers, thought leaders, state administrators, technology & industry leaders, innovators, NGOs and international experts. Discussions were held on the importance and best practices of education, technology & innovation, emerging trends, research & development, for sustainable growth and way forward. It also focused on the New Education Policy (NEP), the digital divide brought to the fore amid the advent of online learning during the pandemic, developments in technology in education, upskilling teachers and on encouraging interaction with decision makers across schools and institutes of higher education. Innovation Norway, India, was country partner, and our participation was led by Dr Maan Singh Sidhu, Counsellor for Science, Technology and Higher Education.
