Indian project wins scholarship at Ibsen Awards 2019

In competition with a record-breaking 149 applications from 60 countries, an Indian project has been named one of the five winners of the Ibsen Scholarships 2019. The project, called “Culturing Voices through Act IV of An Enemy of the People”, is produced and directed by Mr Surendranath from the Ranga Shankara Theatre of Bangalore.

The Ibsen Scholarship was initiated by the Norwegian Government in 2007. It awards innovative projects in the field of drama and performing arts that encourage critical discourse on existential and society-related subject matters. The Ibsen Scholarships are awarded biennially and the total amount under the Scholarship program is NOK 2.000.000.
