Norwegian art on display in Mumbai this week

From 8th to 11th June, Lene Makwana is participating in the annual UMG Index Fairs: International Interiors & Design Event, where she will be exhibiting a total of 11 unique artworks.

The theme “Construction” has been explored through figure, geometric shapes and patterns to convey perceptions and norms around woman’s issues in mediums and techniques ranging from watercolour and acrylic paint to digital collages.

Lene Makwana is a figurative and abstract artist from Minnesund in Norway. She has settled down in Perth, Western Australia with her Mumbai born husband Nilesh. Her education is from Einar Granum School of Fine Arts and Kristiania University College in Oslo. She received her BA: Illustration and Photography Design from Curtin University in Perth.

The Mumbai based organisation Aura Arts has shown great interest in her art and she will return to Mumbai in October this year to participate in a group show.

The UMG Index Fairs takes place at Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, Goregaon.
