Vacant position as Administrative Officer

The Norwegian Embassy in Budapest is looking for an Administrative Officer to join our administrative team. The work will be across a variety of administrative tasks and the main focus will be on buildings management.

Duties and responsibilities
- Responsibility for coordination of property repair work in cooperation with the relevant Norwegian government agency and the contracted property manager
- Responsibility for organising and co-ordinating all care-taking tasks at the Embassy and the Residence of the Ambassador
- Responsibility for the Embassy’s agreements with different suppliers and day to day follow up (orders, invoices, changes etc)
- Responsibility for communication and/or coordination with Hungarian authorities and other authorities regarding embassy real estate, e.g. repairs, renovations and permits
- Tasks related to security, material management and moving
- Other administrative tasks as required, e.g. filling in for other colleagues during holidays etc.
- Other tasks may be assigned as needed

Qualifications and skills
- Relevant work experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, additional qualifications are a plus
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Excellent English and Hungarian language skills, language skills in Norwegian/Scandinavian language is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange

Personal qualities
- Strong organizational skills and a problem-solving attitude
- High attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills as part of a good working environment as well as proven ability to exercise initiative and judgement and to work unsupervised
- Flexibility outside normal working hours when needed

 Terms and conditions
- The vacant position is a permanent full-time position
- The working hours is 37,5 hours per week and holidays is in accordance with Hungarian law
- Salary to be discussed depending on qualifications
- Some evening hours may be required
- Full Hungarian working rights
