Philco Fiction, a ‘twisted pop’ band from Oslo, Norway, will once again bring their new soul and RnB inspired electronic music to China. The tour will kick off in Macao on 17 September, before heading to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Zhengzhou and finally Beijing on 23 September.
Philco Fiction’s music is complex with rich melodies, full of charm and imagination, yet has a crisp beat. The band has released three albums and have been touring clubs and festivals throughout the world, from Texas to Shanghai. Their last album ‘Talk/Brag’ came out in 2016. They embrace a love for the big hooks, for classical and new soul and RnB.
The band is known for their upbeat and dramatic live performances, and as The Guardian journalist Paul Lester said after seeing them live, “I did not know whether I should cry or dance, so I did both”.
