We are looking for a person with excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills.
You will ensure the smooth management of Norwegian diplomats’ business, including scheduling meetings and events, coordinating high-level visits and conferences, arranging travel, managing documents, handling correspondence with Canadian and Norwegian authorities, and performing general office management duties. You will work closely with the Norwegian Ambassador and other members of the 10-person embassy staff to ensure a high level of professionalism and quality in our daily operations.
We are seeking a person with higher education (BA or more) who is efficient, systematic, self-driven and has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to multi-task, be solution-oriented, and work as a team player.
Flexibility and thinking creatively to find solutions to complex administrative situations is vital. A strong command of the English language and grammar is critical, along with thorough knowledge of federal and provincial government structures, office management and administrative skills and good knowledge of office computer software. Knowledge of Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish would be a considerable asset.
The position is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with a work visa in Canada.
