Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination to board a plane in Canada

If you’re 12 years of age plus 4 months, or older, you have to be fully vaccinated in order to board domestic or international flights departing from most airports in Canada, including charter and foreign airlines carrying commercial passengers.

Foreign nationals who don’t qualify as fully vaccinated and who don’t permanently reside in Canada are allowed to depart Canada up until February 28, 2022. They must also show proof of a valid COVID-19 molecular test result at the time of boarding. After that time, foreign nationals will need to be fully vaccinated in order to board a flight or train to depart Canada.
