Covid-19 test and quarantine requirement

Requirement of a negative Covid-19 test when entering Norway:

The Norwegian Government has implemented a requirement for foreign nationals entering Norway to present a negative Covid-19 test, with a few exceptions. Approved test methods are PCR or antigen rapid test. The test must have been taken no later than 72 hours prior to arrival in Norway and the certificate must be in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, English, French or German. Exceptions can be found in the below press release.

Foreign nationals who cannot document a negative Covid-19 test upon arrival can be refused entry to Norway.

Requirement to stay at quarantine hotel:

To limit infections from abroad, the Norwegian Government has introduced a requirement that after entering in Norway, arriving passengers must stay at a quarantine hotel during the 10-day quarantine period. This requirement will not apply to people who reside in Norway or own a home or holiday home in Norway.
