COVID-19 – virus

Temporary closure of VFS’ Visa Application Centers for Norway:

Due to the extensive restrictions on entry into Norway, it will no longer be possible to submit applications for Schengen visas or residence permits to Norway at VFS’ visa application centers. This measure is temporary. Any changes will be published on the Embassy’s website.

Important: Because of the current situation the Embassy will temporarily not be able to return passports to applicants that already have submitted applications.

Restrictions on entry into Norway (COVID-19):

The Norwegian Government has implemented extensive restrictions on entry into Norway due to the spread of COVID-19. As a result, foreigners who do not hold a valid residence permit in Norway will be rejected at the border and refused entry into Norway under provisions of a Norwegian law relating to the control of communicable diseases. For the time being and until further notice, visas for visitors to Norway will not be granted.

For any enquiries, please contact VFS Call center.

Temporary suspension of visa representation agreements

In order to minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the Norwegian government has decided to suspend all agreements of representation. The Norwegian Embassy in Ankara will therefore not issue Schengen visas to Denmark, Finland or Iceland. Persons that already has been issued a Schengen visa by our Embassy to go to these countries, must contact Danish, Finnish and Icelandic authorities to know if travel is possible.

Please be aware that the suspension is temporary. Any changes in the situation will be published on the Embassy’s website.

Danish residence cases that has already been received by the Embassy will be processed as normal.
