Integration of digital technologies into everyday life could support Kosovo and Albania to integrate into the European and global market, promote competitiveness and facilitate transnational exchange of digital services in the public sector.

This week, the Nordic and Baltic countries signed a ministerial declaration to ensure joint cooperation on digitalization. The goal is for the Nordic Region and the Baltic States to become one powerful digital region. A closer regional cooperation on digitalization, both in public and private sector, will contribute to increased competitiveness and support European cooperation in the field. The enhanced Nordic-Baltic cooperation will promote digitalization of public services across borders, digitalization of business and affairs, and strengthen development of a digital market in the region.

Digitalization could also be an instigator for growth in Kosovo and Albania. The Digital North initiative emphasizes the importance and commitment to the ICT field. Integration of digital technologies into everyday life could support Kosovo and Albania to integrate into the European and global market, promote competitiveness and facilitate transnational exchange of digital services in the public sector.
