The Nature Diversity Act was put into effect 1 July 2009. The act contains rules regarding viable use and protection of nature. When nature is threatened the government is compelled to consider measures. New means are implemented in order to guard nature outside the protected areas as well.

Enova SF is a pro-active agency that works to stimulate energy efficiency. It is a public enterprise owned by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. Enova's website has information about its organisation, objectives, partners, arenas, programmes and activities - both in Norway and abroad.
